About

Who are we? Earhart is a platform celebrating womxn, trans, and gender nonconforming music artists. Why is this internship unpaid? We are 100% volunteer-run—we do it out of passion. Since we can’t offer $$$, we’ll work with you to prioritize your goals and make sure you come away with great experience. Where are we? Though based in Seattle, WA, Earhart embraces the beauty of remote work culture. We’ve got contributors everywhere from New York to Berlin. You will be encouraged to work remotely from wherever you currently live. Who are you? You are passionate about gender equality and the arts. You love discovering new music and supporting artists. Though you understand we’ve got a lot of work to do to make the music industry a fair place, you’re ready to roll up your sleeves with a smile on your face. You are organized and a fan of Google spreadsheets. Social media is fun for you. Above all else, you’re passionate about making the art world a more inclusive space by raising marginalized voices. What will you be doing? You’ll work part-time with two main areas of opportunity. Your focus will depend on your desires and skill set. We will not expect you to be responsible for everything listed below. Social media: planning and posting to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter; researching hashtags; growing followers; engaging audience; running promotions. Editorial/design: discovering and reaching out to artists; conducting interviews; maintaining editorial calendar; posting to website; updating website; updating playlists; creating playlist graphics; drafting and sending newsletters. What skills are great to have? If you wanna hop on board, you’ve got to have a functional knowledge of Google drive (spreadsheets and docs) and social media. Otherwise, it’s great to be well versed in some of the following: Spotify; Planoly (or other social planning tools); Squarespace; MailChimp; Photoshop.
