First, thank you again for your interest in volunteering for ESL childcare at Second Baptist. Most of you know that on Monday night there were no children in attendance. Since then, I have spoken to several leaders in the immigrant community and they are going to encourage their congregants and others to return to ESL classes. However, I can't guarantee the numbers. If you would like to look for other volunteering opportunities please feel free. I know that is it important for those in the Justice class to log a minimum of hours.

I do have another option for you. We always need teachers for small groups. I have study guides and materials for students that makes leading a group easy, you just have to be able to speak English! If any of you would like to try this, I can speak further with you about it. In the past, we have had several UR volunteers who have led classes and really enjoyed the experience.

Best to you. Let me know about your decision, I look forward to hearing from you!

So glad to see that you are interested in becoming involved with ESL at Second Baptist. I’d like to meet you and tell you a little more about our program. I’ll be in the Tyler Haynes Commons on Sunday afternoon, Jan 26 at 2:30. I’ll probably be the oldest female there so look for the grayish hair! There are several other students who have volunteered so we can discuss your options. Let me know if you can attend!
