Description
In conjunction with 40 Hours for the Forty Acres, we will be hosting a student fundraising event on April 9th from 10:00 AM till 2:00 PM on UT’s Main Mall. Over 30 student organizations will be showcasing their work and collecting donations at this event. UT students, faculty, staff and any local friends or alumni are invited to come support our student programming, see some live entertainment and participate in fun activities.

Volunteers will be needed throughout the day to help direct traffic and answer questions, as well as to oversee activities at the event and give out free Tiff's Treats and UT gear.

40 Hours for the Forty Acres is a university-wide effort to encourage all Longhorns – students, alumni, faculty, and staff alike – to rally as a community in support of our great University. For 40 hours, we are collecting donations given all throughout the University to reach our goal of $140,000. This is the second year of this campaign, and we are hoping it will be a huge success!

Requirements
Volunteers must attend a mandatory training either from 12-1 PM OR 6-7 PM on Tuesday, April 7th. Volunteers may have to sit or stand for prolonged periods. Light lifting/moving of tables and chairs, boxes may also be involved. Volunteers with good communication skills preferred.
PerksVolunteers can help themselves to Tiff's Treats and any freebies we hand out. Great opportunity to network with the entire UT family. Lots of fun activities for them to watch and participate in at the event.
Parking DetailsVolunteers would have to find street parking or in a UT garage and walk to the Main Mall in front of the tower. Short walk from the West Mall bus stop on Guadalupe St.
