The Social Change Summit Student Director will serve on the SCS planning committee, provide leadership to the Change Leaders and marketing/logistical support to the planning committee. The SCS Student Director will receive a stipend of $500 for work completed during Fall Semester 2019 and an additional $150 when the position ends at the conclusion of the Social Change Pitch Competition, which will take place mid-February 2020.
The Student Director agrees to:
§ Spend an average of approximately four hours per week on the position, two of which are scheduled office hours in the Brain Center
§ Fulfill the leadership expectations of the Brain Center student director position; a servant-leadership
approach empowering team members and working to support the development of each team member
§ Participate in Social Change Summit planning committee meetings
§ Design and implement training for Change Leaders
§ Serve as a positive role model for Change Leaders and Social Change Summit participants
§ Assist with publicity for the Social Change Summit
§ Attend monthly Brain Center Student Director/Staff meetings
§ Represent the Brain Center at local and national conferences (if applicable)
§ Display professionalism in all engagement with peers, faculty, staff, administration, and
community partners, as a representative of the Social Change Summit, Brain Center, and Baldwin Wallace University
§ Other duties as assigned
