Highbanks MetroPark-Clean Up & Tree Planting

Sunday, April 14th, 2019 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm


Age Limit12 and up

Help rid the park of litter, plant trees and work to beautify the garden beds. Please bring work gloves, rakes, shovel and trowels if available. Don’t forget water bottles and sunscreen. Expect to get clothes dirty. Recommended ages 10+.

Participants will be divided into various work groups:

* cleaning up trash along the perimeter of Highbanks MetroPark

*planting a limited number of small trees in reforestation zones

*help spread mulch in front of the nature center and rake away old plants along for new spring growth

We will meet at the Northern Shelter.  After entering the park, the Northern Shelter (reservable area) entrance is the 2nd driveway on the Right  hand side of the road. Please park in the Northern shelter Parking lot. Meet the naturalist/coordinator in the Northern Shelter.
