This group will help:

-decorate the Day Resource Center (spring/summer theme) -wall decals work well, or some fun posters to hang, maybe some artificial flowers, that kind of thing. If you wanted to bring some old magazines, maybe some collages could be made too.

-create some arts & crafts welcome letters for the families (especially) kids coming into shelter

-sort toiletry items into ziplock bags for easy distribution.

-organize lending library into age appropriate groupings.

About the Organization:
Foundation for the Homeless envisions Central Texas as a community where every person can have a home–a safe space where they can sleep, play, learn, work and grow in the presence of loved ones. Foundation for the Homeless mobilizes faith-based and community resources to restore hope and aspiration through transformative opportunities that prevent or end homelessness and nurture a more caring, sustainable community.

Before the project, please join us for a Community Gathering and Mitzvah Day Kickoff at 8:30-9:30 AM in the JCC Community Hall. You can bring items for any of the collection drives to the JCC at this time.
