About
Join us at Teaism in Penn Quarter Tuesday, June 11 to discuss The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America's Shining Women by Kate Moore.
The Radium Girls tells the shocking story of the American women from the roaring twenties who were poisoned by their work and courageously fought for justice. The book celebrates the strength of the working-class women whose determination to fight improved both labor laws and scientific knowledge of radium poisoning despite corporate and legal America's attempts to silence them.
Tuesday, June 11
6:00pm-6:30pm: Networking & Dinner
6:30pm-8:00pm: Book Discussion
It is recommended to read the book before, but anyone can join the conversation.
