At a Horse Boy Mini Camp 3-4 families who have children on the autism spectrum come to spend time at our base in Elgin, Texas. As well as riding, grooming and painting the horses we have other small animals to play with (dogs, goats, pigs, rats, deer, birds etc etc.) and other play equipment. We require volunteers to help shadow and play with the kids so that our staff can focus on keeping the kids safe around the horses.
Volunteers need to have a certain level of physical fitness in order to be able to run after children. Please wear closed toed shoes as you will be working in close proximity to horses.
