Join the Boys & Girls Clubs at Bertha Sadler Means Middle School in the first day of a three part project! We are looking for 10 dedicated volunteers to help in the beginning stages of a beautiful Rain Garden. On Saturday, April 11th we will be mapping, leveling and laying down the shape and boundary of the garden. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a water bottle, hat, suncreen, gloves, tools for picking weeds and of course a smile! Please arrive on time and ready to start making a difference in the community.

What is a rain garden? Rain gardens filter runoff and protect groundwater, especially after significant downpours. They also add unexpected beauty to low spots that tend to collect water and draw wildlife.
