FHFGBR's Active for Autism 5K Run/Walk & Fun Fest promotes awareness, acceptance & inclusion of those who are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. This event provides community education while generating partnerships with families & organizations across the Greater Baton Rouge, eight-parish area. Proceeds from AFA support FHFGBR's program: the Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (RCASD) which provides individualized services, information & support needed to positively enhance the independence, productivity & inclusion of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. FHFGBR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. FOR VOLUNTEERS: There are two days that volunteers are needed for the event: Setup Day on Friday, April 26th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Event Day on Saturday, April 27th from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM. There will also be days leading up to the event day when we will need volunteers to help sort t-shirts, runner bibs, and to help hand out t-shirts during t-shirt pick up days before Active for Autism.
