The Blue Starlite Drive-in - TRAFFIC JAM

About

TRAFFIC JAM is an interactive concert, performed in a parking lot, that features an ensemble of cars, trucks, scooters, motorcycles and bicycles. The program includes a massive choir of 80 vehicle horns, a bicycle fitted with horn speakers broadcasting FM radio, sound installations played on car stereos, and choreographed pedicabs.

With new works created by students from Austin Soundwaves, the show features line upon line percussion, Travis Weller, Mark McCoin, Ethan Greene, Randy Maguire, Steve Snowden and Steve Parker.

Up to 80 audience members are invited to perform as vehicle horn players for the finale.

6.30-7.30pm PERFORMANCE

Blue Startlite Drive-In will be screening Chitty Chitty Bang Bang following the performance from 8.30pm.  The performance of Traffic Jam is free, but reservations are required for both participants and audience via www.fuseboxfestival.com.  To stay on for the screening of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, tickets can be purchased at http://www.bluestarlitedrivein.com/
