About

The Instructional Paired Academic Leader (iPAL) role provides an opportunity to gain experience in the day to day management of program operations. 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting SALs with the creation and delivery of diverse learning tactics to teach STEM concepts to youth through project-based lessons and hands-on activities 

  • Attending and supervising Saturday enrichment activities (average of one to two Saturdays per month) 

  • Supervising children who use RE transportation to and from RE and during RE organized off-site activities (e.g. field trips, social discovery, etc.) 

  • Monitoringanalyzing, and reporting on weekly data 

  • Tracking student attendance and absence data 

  • Providing support for day to day operations 

  • Managing behavior management process 

  • Supporting SAL classroom management 

  • Serving as SAL substitute 

  • Engaging with students as a mentor, tutor and role model

Requirement Details
Qualifications include but are not limited to Bonner or Adams Scholars with at least one year of RE service or individuals with one school year of volunteer service at RE and a commitment of at least 8 hours per week with afternoon availability.
