Join the Native Prairie Association of Texas and Austin Park Rangers at our Monthly workday at one of the City of Austin Nature Preserves, Indiangrass Wildlife Sanctuary. We start the day with a discussion of all the restoration work that is currently happening at this preserve to enhance this special prairie habitat. We will also discuss the native species that currently make up this habitat, and collect seeds that will be used in mixtures later in the year as part of the restoration efforts.
We will provide gloves, tools, and fresh water. Please bring your own water bottle and wear closed toed shoes. Dress for the weather and plan to get a little dirty!
We'll meet at the corner of Blue Bluff and Bloor Road. For directions, enter the following GPS coordinates into Google Maps, and it will show you the way. 30.309087, -97.591919
Thank you so much for serving with us!
