  • Maintain hands-off approach to mentorship, allowing students to fail then offering feedback

  • Willingness to discuss and answer questions regarding your own educational & professional background

  • Lead one “workshop” in the professional skill area of your choice (idea must be approved by ED at least a week in advance)

  • Strong interpersonal skills to model for students

  • Understanding of what is necessary to organize a successful volunteer event so you can effectively direct students to fulfill needs

  • Refocus students when distracted or lacking direction in organizing monthly service events

  • Never leave a student alone with another adult

  • Act as a chaperone at student organized Volunteer Events
