Become a Crisis Center Volunteer!
Volunteers are the heart of the Arkansas Crisis Center!
Are you interested in making a difference for yourself and for your community? Can you remain calm in stressful situations? Can you listen and empathize with a person in need without passing judgment? Can you commit four hours a week or every other week? If you answered yes then we need you!
There are two areas of service for crisis volunteers: Crisis Helpline and Community Outreach Volunteers.
Crisis Helpline volunteers receive 32 hours of training. Our training emphasizes active listening and covers a variety of topics a volunteer will encounter. Once training is completed, volunteers will have the skills necessary to respond to an individual in crisis.
Volunteers can live anywhere in Arkansas and can volunteer from home.
