Be a Welcome Ambassador for a Refugee Family

Open Opportunity

You and a group of friends can be Welcome Ambassadors for a refugee family! Decorate and help furnish their new home, pick them up from the airport, prepare a homemade feast for their first night in town, help them to get to important appointments, give them a tour of Barton Springs or the Mueller Development. Any or all of these will make a huge impact on the lives of your new neighbors from across the globe.
Attend a volunteer orientation, held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver for a background check.
PerksRefugee families that are paired with a Welcome Team are able to achieve self sufficiency in only a couple of months. You are helping to create a thriving global community right here in Austin.
