Prepare a Refugee Family's New Home

Open Opportunity

Make a house a home for a newly arriving refugee family.
Volunteers come to RST and pick up the apartment key, shopping lists, and Walmart gift card. Then they will go to Walmart and purchase the needed items and deliver them to the client's apartment. At the apartment, they will store the food in the refrigerator, store the housing supplies, and make the beds.

The apartment set-up is also a great way to have a direct impact on a client's new life in America. It is also great for busy volunteers because you can pick up the items in the morning and then complete the apartment setup on your own time after work hours.
Attend a Volunteer Orientation held every 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at our offices. Volunteers will be asked to sign a background check release form.
PerksYou get to make a significant contribution to the lives of your new neighbors from across the globe.
