Lyrical Park is currently a gravel lot on the East Bank of Fall Creek at 38th Street across from State Fair Grounds. The Trail-Head is the "park" or public space at the beginning of the Fall Creek Trail and travels north towards Fort Ben Harrison. It is part of Destination Fall Creek and currently is the pick up/drop off location of the famous State Fair Train.
We are seeking volunteers to help clear brush, weeds, and small trees from the bank of Fall Creek.
*** Summer science students from local school Charles A. Tindley worked over a summer to research Fall Creek's History, Science, Ecology, and Design. Students worked with local stakeholders and designers to imagine a new future for the Fall Creek Trail Head and called it Lyrical Park. The efforts on Friday, October 2nd will help beautify the Trail-head and inspire a generation.
