Description
Multiple Code.org coding instructors are needed to mentor elementary students, several may mentor on different days to cover four days per week. Are you available to help instruct 4th and 5th graders at Williams Elementary (AISD) on the Code.org coding program during these afterschool dates and times? From 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm, 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) starting Oct. 5 - Dec. 17, excluding Oct 12, Nov 11, 25, 26, 27. You will be volunteering with another Code.org instructor for this program. And a free Code.org workshop will be provided on 9/26 to help you prepare. Additional Code.org workshops will be held after that date as well.
Requirements
Attend a FREE Code.org coding workshop at the Microsoft Store and Austin ISD background check required.

At the Code.org workshop, you will receive: In-person instruction including an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities. In addition, you will receive: printed curriculum guide, classroom supplies for the unplugged lessons, certificate of completion, and fun Code.org swag.
