Every Friday beginning October 16th, kids ages 5-14 are welcome to join us for a variety of activities from 6:45-8:15 pm in the Forker Building (Gym 184) on the Iowa State Campus. This program provides area youth with a fun and exciting opportunity to be physically active during the cold, winter months. Your responsibilities include playing the pre-planned games with the kids and encouraging them to be active along with helping some parents/children sign in.
We know that it's hard for kids to be active indoors and can be uncomfortable and unsafe to play games outside once it gets chilly. ExerCYse Time tackles this problem by giving kids a safe and fun environment to play coordinated games with an experienced staff of graduate and undergraduate ISU students.
Willingness to play and interact with kids ages 5-14. Also you will be required to fill out the Youth Code of Conduct (http://www.exercyse.org/youth-outreach-group.html) and complete a background check through the ISU Department of Risk Management. This all takes about 10-15 minutes.
|Perks||Be apart of the growing ExerCYse is Medicine initiative. This award winning program strives to promote the benefits of physical activity through events such as this and others throughout the community and ISU campus.|
