Great volunteer opportunity for 2016!  The Muscular Dystrophy Association offers free overnight summer camp for kids with neuromuscular diseases, which takes place every  June.  Camp Counselors are needed to be paired for one week of fun!   No experience is necessary - MDA will provide complete training.  Responsibilities include assisting campers with daily needs, encouraging campers to experience all that camp offers, and...having a great time!  Our volunteers frequently tell us that MDA Summer Camp provides one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of their lives.  For more information, please call 512.691.0065.
Willingness to assist kids with disabilities with any personal needs as well as all other needs, and to help campers have a great time free from the boundaries they normally experience! Ability to lift at least 30 pounds. Willingness and ability to work hard for one week of camp.
