NOTE: This new event is now full. It filled in less than 4 hours and we cannot accommodate additional participants. WEP's Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day program in the spring will open registration in late December. Watch your email for details!
Students and their parents or educators are invited to UT for an afternoon of engineering fun. Explore Engineering Day presented by the Women in Engineering Program (WEP), gives 150 fourth through eighth grade students a chance to:
- have fun doing grade-specific, hands-on engineering activities,
- meet current engineering students and see what it's like to be an engineer.
HOW IT WORKS
Activities for 4th - 8th graders are housed in UT's CPE building. Students are encouraged to create and experiment at their own pace with all of the age-appropriate activities. There are no volunteers or guides to take students around to the activities, so parents, counselors, or teachers are expected to remain with students during the event.
