ODU Hosting - Fear 2 Freedom Event

On October 27, Old Dominion University is hosting a Fear 2 Freedom event at 6:30 pm in the North Café.  Fear 2 Freedom (F2F) is a global non-profit dedicated to redeem and restore the lives of those wounded by sexual violence bringing them hope and healing.  http://www.fear2freedom.org/   F2F partners universities, hospitals, and communities to provide after-care kits to those affected by sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and sex-trafficking.

We are asking the entire ODU community to join together to make this event a success. Volunteers are needed to set up (4:00-6:15 pm),  to make the F2F after-care kits (6:30-8:00 pm) and to clean up (7:45-8:30 pm) in the North Café.

The Women’s Center provides these kits to our students when needed. Here is a picture and list of the kit contents: 

What’s In The Kit?

Adult Kit includes:

Freedom Box, Freedom Bear & Storybook, T-Shirt, Sweatpants, Underwear, Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Brush/Comb, Burt’s Bees, Journal & Pen, Resources, and a Personal Note from an ODU student, faculty or staff member.

 

 

 

Volunteers are needed for three shifts:
