The Care Communities provides Care Team services to those who are suffering from Cancer or HIV/ AIDS. The Care Teams ( 3 - 6 persons) provide practical support -- running errands, transportation to medical appointments, light housecleaning, meal preparation, yard work, etc -- and emotional support -- companionship, social outings, etc. From each volunteer on the Care Team, we ask five hours a month and a committment of one year.
Volunteer Training is usually every third/fourth Wednesday of each month from 6pm - 9pm at 314 E. Highland Mall Blvd, Ste 495 Austin, Texas 78752. Join us on October 28, 2015! Refreshments provided.
