As Austin, Texas grows and portions of the city continue to experience mass gentrification and displacement, it is critical that we help equip and empower residents in these vulnerable communities to maintain their homes and identify affordable housing. With this in mind, the Center for Community Engagement at The University of Texas at Austin has launched the Community Housing Hub, a program focused on impact driven researching, cultural and historic preservation and housing equity through advocacy. The Community Housing Hub aims to address inequitable processes and policies by helping vulnerable communities who are at risk of being physically displaced or culturally disconnected with on the ground support.
