The ODU commnunity will celebrate MLK Jr. Day of Service over a two-day period of January 17-18, 2016. We strongly encourage all participants to be present for America's Sunday Supper on January 17th, 6-8pm in North Cafe, Webb Center AND on MLK Day of Service on January 18th.

America's Sunday Supper on Sunday, January 17
6-8pm North Cafe, Webb Center
Dinner and conversation in honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be the setting of Points of Light’s America’s Sunday Supper. Dinner will feature Dr. Antipas L. Harris, Associate Professor of Practical Ministry and Director of the Youth and Urban Renewal Center at Regent University, followed by service pre-reflection and engagement in idea generation and sustainability planning for our new Monarch Pantry. America’s Sunday Supper/Hunger Banquet will be the kickoff to a campus-wide awareness of food insecurity on campus and in our communities, a food drive for the Monarch Pantry, and will allow ample time to promote the new pantry as a resource and opportunity to volunteer to our campus and surrounding community.
MLK National Day of Service on Monday, January 18
Registration 8-9am in the Front Lobby of Webb Center
We will reconvene after our evening of engagement and reflection to serve in our community to act on food insecurity issues with our community partners.There will be various community partners and projects for participants to engage with on Monday. The volunteer times may vary by volunteer location and commnuity parnter. Volunteering will occur between the hours of 9am-1pm.
