Join the Palouse Conservation District(PCD) AmeriCorps members to help plant native trees. The day will start out with a quick lesson on riparian planting followed by work prepping for planting native plants along stream banks! We'll meet at PCD to gather equipment and plants and then head out to a local project site. The restoration work we're doing will help improve soil and water quality throughout the Palouse and create habitat for our native species.
The Palouse Conservation District's mission is to actively assist current and future generations of land managers (rural and urban) in implementing conservation practices by providing educational, technical, and financial assistance. The Palouse Conservation District works through voluntary, incentive-based programs to assist landowners and agricultural operators with the conservation of natural resources throughout the District.
Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, dress for rain or shine, and bring some water!
