Background
Paper Airplanes
provides free, one-on-one virtual language and skills instruction to people affected by conflict. Our goal is to help these individuals learn critical languages and marketable skills for their pursuit of higher education and employment. We currently have five programs: English, Turkish, Women in Technology, Citizen Journalism and Youth Exchange.

We work with hundreds of volunteers and students and in order to keep track of our impact, we are developing a database. 

Tasks/Responsibilities:
Interns assisting with our database project will: Migrate legacy flat files to data warehouse; create scripts to clean and validate data; build visualizations on top of new data sources; and create a web based data entry tool.
