About
The Northwest Austin Circle of Friends cordially invites you to the 17th Annual Cheers for Children event! This event lets guests taste fine wines, select bourbons, delicious cuisine from local restaurants and great music.
Proceeds raised by this event will be matched 100% by a very generous donor and will benefit the Texas Child Study Center Endowment at Dell Children's Medical Center. This center - a collaboration between Dell Children's and The University of Texas at Austin Educational Psychology Department - treats children and adolescents with emotional, developmental and behavioral challenges. With the support of our donors, this facility will develop disease-specific evaluative and interventional programs to address disorders such as autism, depression and other mental health issues.
For volunteers, we need help with various activities of the event, including set-up, clean-up, assistance with the silent auction and food vendors, and registration assistance, as well as serving guests for our volunteers who have TABC certification. Volunteers for the later shifts will be provided food.
If you are interested in becoming TABC certified for this event, Northwest Austin Circle of Friends will reimburse our volunteers with proof of registration and completion of the online course.
There will be 3 shift options for volunteers, including the set-up shift from 12-3:00pm, the early event shift from 5-8:00pm, and the late event shift from 6:30-10pm. Choose a shift, or work multiple ones if you would like. We greatly appreciate your help in any way, and if you help us out during the later shifts, you will get food!
For more information, contact Shannon Trammell, Volunteer Coordinator through GivePulse. We are still getting details on the event, so stay tuned!
