Tree Planting at Lady Bird Lake

Come out and volunteer and bring your enthusiasm to learn how to plant young trees.

Urban Forestry Department will lead this project and provide their expertise so that you, your friends and neighbors can help replant the urban forest.  

All participants should dress for the weather including closed-toed shoes as you will be digging holes! Please bring a water bottle to refill. Volunteers can bring their own gloves, but they will be provided for those that do not.

Rain Policy: If it is raining at the start time of the project, we will check the radar and/or wait for up to 30 minutes for it to stop if it looks like it will let up.  If the rain does not stop, we will reconvene on Sunday at the same start time.

Youth younger than 15 must be accompanied by an parent or guardian.

Minors 17 and younger must have a Minor Liability form filled out in advance. Forms are available by writing to
PerksKIND bars for all volunteers!
Parking DetailsThe tree planting will be along the trail that runs next to Lady Bird Lake. We will meet between Lakeshore and the Longhorn Dam - look for Urban Forestry trucks.
Park in the Krieg Fields lot across the street. Be sure to read the parking signs in case there are areas you cannot use: Don't get towed!
