Description
We are in need of a few more jewelry and clothing repair coaches at our upcoming Fix-It Clinic!  At Fix-It Clinics, residents bring broken household items (electronics, jewelry, clothing, and others) to be repaired and learn from knowledgeable coaches throughout the process.  Fix It Clinics promote reuse, keep items out of landfills and connect community members to each other!  Our next Fix-It Clinic is on Saturday, January 25th from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Willie Mae Kirk Library branch (3101 Oak Springs Drive).

How volunteers help:

As a volunteer, you will assist local residents with repairing jewelry, sewing garments, and more!  Items might include a sweater with a hole or a necklace with a faulty clasp.  To sign up, email us at circulareconomy@austintexas.gov with your preference of being a jewelry or sewing coach.
During your shift, you can expect to help two to three people at a time, and snacks will be provided. Sign up today to help give residents a free opportunity to repair damaged, treasured goods through coaching from an expert volunteer!
