This It's My Park Day, The Bull Creek Foundation and NWACA are partnering with Austin Parks Foundation to improve the landscaping of the trees surrounded by split rail fences at Bull Creek District Park located at
6701 Lakewood Dr

The project will consist of removal of invasive species within the bedded areas (these areas are not near Bull Creek but above the flood plain), clearing debris from the area (trash, etc.). In selected area mulch will be spread.

The purpose of the project is to improve the areas to promote the growth of native species.

Invasive species will be marked for easy identification.

Volunteers should wear long sleeve shirts, long pants for protection from thorns and any poison ivy.

Vounteers should bring water bottles, hand shears for the removal of small invasives, and gardening gloves.

Requirement Details
Long sleeve shirts and long pants are encouraged because of thorns and poison ivy (along the trails where blockages) will be removed. Gardening gloves are also encouraged.
