Make a big difference this It's My Park Day! Recent rains have inundated Crestmont Park with trash in and around the stream and bank. For 4 hours (or less--however long it takes) volunteers will collect trash in stream, along the bank, and on the green at the park.
Volunteers will bag trash and bring bags to a designated spots along the road for collection. Help us make our park beautiful again!
Please note that some volunteers will need to access creek, and should wear rubber boots or appropriate footwear. Closed toed shoes recommended for other volunteers as well.
|Perks||Green space is important in urban settings. Once this park is cleaner, trash will no longer move downstream, polluting Shoal Creek and Lady Bird Lake. Trash and debris will not clog culverts and impede stream flow. And, we can enjoy a cleaner park!|
|Parking Details||Parking available along Crestmont Drive (no restrictions) and also along side streets adjacent to the park. Please be considerate of neighbors.|
