This It's My Park Day, we need volunteers to help out at Norwood Park! We will continue our periodic maintenance of the site at the Norwood project. This involves picking up trash, mowing grass, and trimming weeds & other overgrowth in the grounds & gardens immediately surrounding the stabilized historic house. We will also pick up trash in some of the steep areas just west and north of the hill.
In anticipation of future recomended air spading on two of the heritage oaks, we may also remove the broken-up chunks of old sidewalk in front of the house, if we have the manpower to do so in the recommended manner. Hope you'll join us!
This is physical labor; i.e., picking up trash, mowing, & trimming vegetation. Steep areas require ONLY those who can safely access & work in such terrain. Please wear sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes at minimum. We will try to provide enough tools, but please bring your garden trimmers, loppers, & gloves if possible.
|Parking Details||In the early morning there is usually enough parking along Edgecliff at the hill and down the street. Please do not park in the residential area past Travis Heights Blvd.|
