Nature Education Volunteer Training

Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm (MT)

Positions0 Remaining

Thank you for your interest in Thorne Nature Experience!

I’d love to meet with you to talk more about the Volunteer and Internship Opportunities we’re offering at Thorne.  We deliver programs to over 13,000 kids each year, most of whom are low income and we would appreciate your help getting these kids outside and connecting to the wild landscapes of Colorado!

If possible, please SIGN UP FOR AN INTERVIEW SLOT.  I think this will be the easiest way us to make a plan and consider the different ways you can get involved.  We’re still looking for volunteers with our Field Trip, After School, and Administrative programs.  Opportunities are flexible and vary by season.  We can talk about particular scheduling questions during our interview conversation.

We'd also love for you to join us at our upcoming volunteer training.  We can talk after the training to see how you might want to get involved.

TRAINING INFORMATION: Please RVSP with SignUpGenius, if possible.

  • SCHEDULE: Training is on Tue 1/28/2020, 4-7pm.
  • AGENDA: You’ll learn more about Thorne, some helpful games and teaching strategies, and you’ll get to meet other Thorne staff and volunteers.
  • CLOTHES: Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather.
  • FOOD: We will provide dinner with vegetarian, GF, and DF options.
  • DIRECTIONS:  Training will be held at Thorne Nature Experience at Sombrero Marsh (1466 W. 63rd St., Boulder, CO 80303). From Hwy 36/28th St., head east on Arapahoe Ave. Turn right on 63rd St. The road will be marked “No Outlet”; disregard this signage. Follow 63rd Street as it turns to the left. You will see a marsh, Thorne Nature Experience signs, and a building nestled to the right. Please park along the chain link fence. We’ll see you inside the building at 4:00pm.

With gratitude,

Gwen Tenney
