Youth Court is an awesome opportunity to gain exposure to the issues surrounding the School to Prison Pipeline and work with Austin-area middle school students. Based on restorative justice principles, Youth Court serves as an alternative to traditional school discipline procedures (such as in or out of school suspension) in three AISD schools: Webb, Martin, and Paredes. We are currently looking for volunteers to staff Youth Court at Martin and Paredes. We are looking for individuals to spend about 30 minutes a week at one of our schools to work with our partner teachers in implementing the Youth Court program.
Please contact Paige Duggins at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about volunteering with Youth Court!
