No matter how it’s defined, puberty is a sensitive topic for kids and parents. Navigating adolescence with a physical or intellectual disability can create additional challenges. Social-sexual awareness and education is very important for teens and young adults with special needs. Celia Neavel, MD, FSAHM, Medical Director, Center for Adolescent Health & GOALS and her team provide an in-depth workshop to familiarize parents with what they need to know about puberty and how to share that with their adolescent child.
We need your help to play with the kids while the parents focus on learning!
Fingerprint background check & current TB test on file.
