The San Antonio Food Bank has a 27 acre working garden, cultivating fresh produce to provide healthy, nutritious fresh foods for distribution. Volunteers work as a group to assist the farmer with planting, harvesting, caring for, and cleaning fruits, vegetables, and other edible plants. Other duties may include composting, weeding, digging, hoeing and watering in the field. At times assistance is needed with landscape and property clean up. Come and get your hands in the dirt!

The San Antonio Food Bank provides food and grocery products to more than 500 partner agencies in 16 counties throughout Southwest Texas.
Individual’s sensitive to bee stings should not volunteer in the garden. 
Hats and sunscreen are recommended for sunny weather.
