Description

Set-up (9am-noon; 10-15 volunteers)

·         Place chair covers & tablecloths (all vols)

·         Un-package art and lay out by pipe & drape (2 vols)

·         Build centerpieces on tables, place gifts and noisemakers at seats (all vols)

·         Place live auction lot posters & casino posters on easels in hall (2 vols)

·         Sort reverse auction prints at registration (2 vols)

**Optional/in the event volunteers want to stay during the auction**:

-          Pizza/4:30 pm @ TBD room

-          Greeters (5:30pm – 7:15pm; 3 volunteers)

o   Assist greeter staff in lobby (1), by escalator in lobby (1) , by garage entrance doors on level 3 (1)

-          Ushers (5:30pm – 7:15pm; 3 volunteers)

o   Assist guests with finding their tables

-          Art packing (7:30-9pm; 1-2 volunteers)

o   Assist staff with packing art back-up as pieces get auctioned

 


End of the night (9pm - ~2am)

Exit greeters (9:30-11pm; 2-3 volunteers)

-          Thank guests for coming and encourage them to participate in commemorative mini-auction in hallway

-          One volunteer to stand with commemorative art pieces, explain bidding process, assist staff member there as needed

-         
Thank guests for coming and encourage them to grab an art print if they participated in the reverse auction as they exit; let them know they don’t have to do anything to check out and if they purchased a lot or an artwork – that ForKids staff will contact them to arrange a delivery

 

Clean Up/Delivery to 4200 (11:00 pm until ?; 10 volunteers)

-          Chair covers (removed/placed in tubs) & table cloths (placed in bags)

-          Centerpiece breakdown (re-package any rented items; throw away any unusable items)

-          Save a few bid paddles/table cards etc. & throw away the rest

-          Clean up trash in break room upstairs

-          Posters from casino/live lots packed up (easels stay)

-          Pack up leftover reverse prints

-          Follow Mojo truck to 4200 Colley & help unload

PerksThis event is indescribably fun! This year's theme is superheroes, and you are welcome to come in costume as long as it does not impede your ability to work.
