The Smart Trips Austin Representative (STAR) Program is a rewarding opportunity for volunteers to get hands-on experience with the Active Transportation Program’s new Austin Smart Trips program in Central Austin.
Smart Trips Austin is a encouragement project proven to shift single occupant vehicle trips to transit, bicycing, walking and carpooling. Households north of 38th St and south of Koenig Lane will be invited to order educational materials and attend community transportation events. We are looking for volunteers (STARs) to help with group bicycle rides, transit adventures, walking clubs, community outreach, and materials delivery. STARs may also choose to offer their speciality skills like photography and language translation.
