Met Council volunteers will connect via phone with clients who have received our services, finding out firsthand how we have and can continue to impact our community members’ lives. Volunteers will work off of a client list to place calls and conduct a survey through Google forms. Before placing the first phone call, volunteers will take part in an interactive training that teaches the realities of hunger and poverty in New York City. Together, we will learn how increased access to public benefits such as SNAP can be a powerful tool in combating hunger and poverty in New York City.
Verbal knowledge of Yiddish and English required; volunteers do not need to know how to read or write in Yiddish
