In celebration of Civic Engagement Recognition Week, the Center for Leadership and Community Engagement (CLCE) is hosting a Community Engagement Summit around the theme of Equity and Inclusion. Community partners, students, and faculty will share their work as it relates to the theme. The Wagner community at large is invited to attend and participate in three sessions of panels and workshops led by students, faculty and community members.
The Community Engagement Summit convenes community organizations, members, faculty and students who are spearheading solutions to local or global challenges through collaborative projects involving a diversity of stakeholders. Stakeholders presenting are any combination of community members, organizations, local higher education faculty, administrators, or students. The summit seeks to highlight the effectiveness of equity and inclusion in achieving solutions to community challenges. It also seeks to provide space for three specific stakeholders to frame this conversation: students, faculty, and community leaders. Participants can look forward to learning from experts in multiple fields, sharing best practices, and creating future collaborations.
The summit is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 1:00pm – 4:30pm. Following, we welcome all participants to attend the annual awards ceremony for Civic Engagement Recognition Day.
