Join TEAM ASTON as they participate in TXDOT's Annual "Trash Off" by clean up a two mile stretch of road located in Kyle, TX. We will be meeting at the Sustainacycle Sustainable Living Center at 9 AM for breakfast and a mandatory safety meeting. Volunteers will be given safety vests and gloves at that time and then broken into groups to clean a section of roadway between FM 2770 and Center Street. Volunteers must wear closed toed shoes! Long pants, hats and light colored clothing is recommended. Water will be provided and a truck will patrol the teams to ensure they are provided with cold water and new trash bags and will remove any bags that are full. Families are encouraged to participate. Children age 5 and older are welcome, but must be accompanied by a guardian. Individuals in need of community service hours can receive verificaiton letters for their service upon request. Our end time for the event is approximate as it will be based on the total number of volunteers participating and the amount of trash we find on the road. Help keep Texas beautiful!
