Nowruz marks the first day of spring or Equinox and the beginning of the year in the Iranian calendar. The moment night and day are equalized is calculated precisely every year and families gather together to observe the rituals. Iranian Students Association (ISA) is celebrating Iranian new year on April 17, 2016 at 6:00 pm in UARK Bowl (644 W Dickson St #110, Fayetteville, AR). There will be Iranian food, dance, music and other cultural programs.
We need volunteers on the event day from morning till after the event ends. Volunteers will help with logistics and set up before the event, ticket checking at the begining, other tasks during the event such as serving food or taking pictures, and clean up after the event. Volunteers can choose the start time and the duration that work best for them, and also their prefered tasks.
Celebration of Nowruz, like other ISA events, has always been a very warm and fun environment for volunteers to enjoy, serve and learn. We appreciate your presence and help as our volunteers.
