The Waller Creek Conservancy and Generation Waller invite you to EXPLORE and CLEAN-UP our favorite urban trail along Waller Creek. The Conservancy's mission focuses on transforming and revitalizing Austin’s Waller Creek into an extraordinary urban place that connects, surprises, and inspires. This includes an effort to connect 1.5 miles along the stream with a series of parks and trails through the heart of downtown from Lady Bird Lake all the way up to the University of Texas.

Our Clean-Up will focus on the trail along Waller Creek north of 6th Street up to Waterloo Park. This trail system is in a busy, bustling city with cool breezes, limestone outcrops and the soft squeak of free-tail bats under bridges. To tackle this, we’ll have two teams dedicated to different zones; be prepared to get dirty, maybe a little wet and to develop a new relationship with your urban creek! Please bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Closed toed shoes
  • Rubber boots or waders [if you've got them]
  • Clothes you can get dirty--long-sleeved t-shirt and pants
  • We’ll have the rest
