Feed Communities is partnering with the Fayetteville Farmer's Market to provide cooking demonstrations taught by local chefs at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market. Free samples of the demonstration food are given to patrons of the market. All of the food used in the demonstrations is from the market to boot!
Our volunteers will help run this event. We will have some creative types to decorate chalk boards displaying all of the growers that donated produced to be used in the demonstration. It will take 3 people in the food truck preparing the samples. Four volunteers will be helping conduct a simple 3 question survey to those who took the sample. The findings will help us continue the programming by providing us data on how the program is running! We will have two people in the front of the truck directing people and spreading the word. We will have two other people working at the Feed Communities informational booth sharing information about the organization, collecting donations, and directing people to the cooking demonstration.
We cannot run this program effectively without you! With our volunteers, we will be providing market goers with a rich educational experience and empowering people to cook locally grown foods uniquely. We will be providing a delicious healthy food sample to patrons. Overall, we will be encouraging our community to eat healthy food and support the farmers and growers in our area who work hard to get it to our plates.
Volunteers should not be sick (no coughing, sneezing, intestinal problems, etc.)
