About
Must provide own gear: gloves, shovels, loppers, etc. Garlic mustard, damesrocket removal doesn't require tools, though gloves may be desired.
Areas in the park have been cleared of honeysuckle in years past but the fight continues. Help us sweep the newly seeded or missed invasives from previously cleared patches. Targeted species include the non-native honeysuckles, privet, burning bush, winter creeper, garlic mustard, and damesrocket.
Several sections of the park have plenty of poison ivy so dress accordingly and take appropriate actions afterwards.
Additional work-party opportunities may be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please look for and like our page on Facebook: Friends of Moses Wright Nature Area, for additional opportunities.
