Description
When COVID-19 hit, Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) – a nonprofit legal services provider – knew it would need to rapidly pivot so that its team of volunteer and staff attorneys could continue serving clients. The team turned to Funder Partner LA LOOP, and together, quickly identified an opportunity to repurpose a pre-COVID grant to establish a free virtual legal clinic.

By acquiring licenses for secure online platforms, engaging and training staff and volunteers, and communicating these changes to the community, PWJC was quickly able to connect its robust, volunteer-led client services to virtually support victims and survivors of abuse.

Please join Cindy Kanusher, Executive Director of PWJC and Elizabeth Faraut, Founder + CEO of LA LOOP, as they discuss how the program was established, what they’ve learned – including how to keep clients comfortable and volunteers connected virtually, and how this new model will help PWJC not just through COVID, but long term.

The format of the webinar will be a 30-minute discussion followed by a 20-minute Q&A from the audience.
