Hospice Volunteer - Angola area companionship

Open Opportunity

About

Heart to Heart Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals in the Angola and surrounding northeast Indiana area to provide companionship to our patient in their home (or various skilled nursing facilities as visitors are allowed).  Some family members are also looking for caregiver relief for 1-2 hours while they run errands.  Volunteers can do things such as read, play music, talk, share, look at pictures, paint nails, etc.

Heart to Heart Hospice does require (and pay for) a TB test and background check, followed by a thorough orientation process to help you understand our mission, your role, and the rules and regulations set forth by the State Department of Health and Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services.  Then, we match our volunteers with patients near to them and set up visits between 1 - 4 times a month.  Due to the time and effort our company takes to train our volunteers, we are looking for people who are able to join our team and serve our patients in an ongoing capacity.

Please reach out to Rachel at Heart to Heart Hospice if you would like to learn more about our volunteer opportunities.
