Huskers Helping the Homeless is often Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach's most far-reaching fundraiser, and your help enables us to do something even more far-reaching – hand-off opportunity to our guests so they can pursue their second chance. Whether it’s a few meals served with love to help a family make it until the next paycheck, a substance use evaluation or one-on-one counseling to help a chronically homeless person become successfully housed, your support for Matt Talbot changes lives by helping those sidelined by poverty and homelessness get back ”in the game.
This year's event will be looking different than past years, we're going VIRTUAL! Here's how it works:
1. Sign up and commit to help us raise funds, we are asking our volunteer to sign up and commit to getting at least $50 in donations.
2. Have your friends and family make the donation themselves directly on this page listing your name so you get credit, or better yet click the "Help Fundraise" button on the page and create your own individual goal and campaign. Share your campaign page widely with friends and family to donate directly to your team's campaign. See this guide for more details on setting up a campaign.
3. During the month of October share your campaign on all your social media platforms using the hashtag #HHH.
4. Anyone want prizes?? For every $50 in donations raised you will receive one raffle ticket for great prizes! There will also be a prize given to the individual who raises the most money.
